RE: Potential Owner
I got the premium package for my 05. I am glad that I did. I love the look of the upgrade, I may have paid a little more when I got my car, it just saved me the time from having to take care of it myself later. I would reather drive my car then have it some place getting worked on.

I used to live in Akron (Kenmore area) and I know there are times that winter can be a real bear to get around. It is all basic common sense when it comes to winter driving. Stay off the gas and take your time is how I used to do it there. It doesn't matter what kind of car you have when it comes to winter driving. You just have to know the car well and how it reacts in those conditions.
When it comes to dealers in that area, go out a little distance and go to a smaller dealer. You will more than likely get a better price but then again you may have to wait a little longer to get your car. I like to stay away from the real big dealers like Clark Ford or Montrose Ford.
You can also become a member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA.COM). After 90 days, you can get a certificate for $500 off the price of the car. It cost only $35 to join and I think you can do the math on that one.
Good luck and I hope you can get what you want at a reasonable price.

They sell most of their cars on Fri, Sat & Sun. Bottom line, for him Friday is the beginning of his work "week".

The place that quoted me the best price was Clark Ford. They also quoted an 8 week production time. The production time quote was from the manager.
Thanks for the info on the work week thing, I didn't know that.
Thanks for the AQHA info, I'm looking into it.

I like to gather all the information I can early, then I can have time to mull over the decision.

End of month is good on most vehicles... hot cars don't count - usually. I sold cars between "computer geek" jobs for about a year. Now if you are there for the last hour of the very last day of the month and the car is still available and the SALES MANAGER needs to make a quota - you MIGHT get a deal but don't hold your breath.

If you are ordering and not just picking one off the lot, you can pretty much forget about anything I said. You'll most likely get it at MSRP.

I just heard from my boss' boss that I'm being invited back for another co-op, which means I will have the money for this. It's an exciting day for me.
