Default Best short throw shifter

I have been looking at the hurst and steeda shifters for my 09 GT. I have been reading some posts about rattles on the hurst shifters. Anyone have a shifter they would recommend? Hurst is usually known for high quality, but I don't really have any experience with the other shifters that are out there. I need to do something, this stock shifter requires to much movement. Thanks for your help / thoughts.

I should also add that I have heard noise is an issue with replacement shifters. Anyone find a way to reduce the transmission sound? Reading more about the MGW shifters they mention a sound damping shaft. Do you notice a difference from stock as far as noise Goldenpony? Thanks for the reply.

I had the Hurst installed two years ago and it has never rattled.

Anyone else have a MGW? It looks like a weel built shifter. The install guide shows that they made a big effort to reduce noise inside the car. Has anyone tried the steeda? To many options!! I am def starting to lean toward a MGW instead of the hurst shifter.

MGW is what I recommend. The only noises that it makes is changing gear to gear and thats more of a solid cluck. Great shifter and you can adjust throws to your liking.

I have the Hurst and I'm one of the unfortunate ones. It was installed last Oct and started rattling after a couple month's.
