I had everything installed for 500 but I ended up adjusting a lot of the piping myself since there were rattles (Let say I'm not going back to that installer) but I think 500 for the headers alone is a pretty average price.

I really only wanted the headers installed but he said he'd do it all for the same price so I figured OK. You can do it yourself but I hate doing major work on jackstands and since you have to lift the engine a bit to get the headers in I wanted to get them installed.

so if i had to pick one thing to do first which would it be
1. headers
2. x-pipe
3. Catback

I'm enjoying my new car but would like it to sound a bit meaner, my thought was to start with the x-pipe.

Catback or (X-pipe if you go catless) otherwise a new cat-back or axle back can change the sound a lot. Take a look a SLP loudmouths or Boomtubes, both are muffler deletes and will definitely wake up the sound of you stang plus you can change them you self in about an hour. If you don't like drone get Corsa's they aren't cheap but worth it if you want to be drone free (Plus I have a set for sale )

I would need a high flow cat due to inspection. My initial thoughts were to do Magnaflow x-pipe catted and maybe the magna flow catack. Kinda keep everything the same. I must admit i'm still confused with all the pieces Header, X or H pipe, Cat back, and axle back...lots of stuff gets expensive quick

I would try an axleback first, check out the MagnaPACK kit, they sound pretty good, or the Ford racing mufflers, both have a pretty deep clean sound, though they do drone. Then if you're not happy try a magnaflow catted x since it will increase the volume some too. My car is by no means quiet but at the same time it's not like running straight pipes.

Best thing is to get on you tube and watch, watch, and watch some more to see what you like. That's what I did for months before I get what I have now and I love it, no regrets on sound or quality, just installation

Here's a reply I just recieved about shorty headers.
Question: Can you give me a quote for all needed parts to do the cam swap, (cams, bolts, and whatever else) and the tuner, plus whatever shortly headers you guys like, or is it even worth doing shorty headers?

Answer: As far as the shorty headers....they are a waste of money and give you looks, but no power gains. If you are going to do headers go with Long Tubes as they give you power gains and still cost the same to install (675).

Yeah everyone says that, but tell that to my butt which can feel a difference and also in some areas with testing you don't have much choice.
