noice. I bet they REALLY help out considering how much power you're putting down!

Those 20s must like nice, but I bet they bring the gearing down some...

I say a suspension upgrade first for a couple of reasons. One is to support the extra torque and weight of the supercharger. In short these upgrade suspensions are made from more durable materials and will withstand this better than stock materials. Another is, you know you're gonna get into it, it just goes along without saying, so, a better suspension equals stick to the roads better.

I'm wondering exactly how well these stiffer suspension components help with weight transfer.. I'm concerned you might not be launching as well depending on what you get done.. if auto-x or curvy road course i'm sure it would be better.. but for straight line and dragstrip performance? .. i'm not sure.. LCAs and UCAs are the only things i think are neccessary.. some people recommend a panhard bar.. but all 3 of those things are fairly cheap.. and the control arms mostly help with wheel hop.. and can be done after the power mods w/o a big difference.. what i think would be interesting, get some 1/4 mile times w/o suspension, then do suspension, see how well it helps..

Your point is very valid. One has to consider what their plans are for the vehicle and then decide what mods are needed. I don't race mine so the LCA's and UCA's were not important to me. Had I planned to race it, I probably would have considered that also.

If you are planning on forced induction then A supercharger with approximately 9 psi, an aftermarket catback exhaust, and some sticky tires.

If you want to stay naturally asperated then Cold Air Intake, a programmer, cat back exhaust, a 3000 stall torque converter and sticky tires.

Good luck,

Al
