Default Need some advice

I bought a beautiful black on black 2004 GT in October of last year (see my "just after purchase" avtar) . She only had 16000 miles when I got her. Up until this time I really wasnt a car person let alone a "mod my ride" kind of guy. Since then the bug has bit me and I am all about making my pony faster and look better. I have put flowmasters on, the previous owner had a K&N Ram air installed, and I have just had BBK headers put on. I also have put eibach lowring springs on.
I really didnt pay that much attention to the engine other than to change the filters when they needed it but I dont believe there are any other Mods.

Now my Question. Do I need to custom tune now? I know it would be ideal but is this a necesity or just a bonus? I really dont have a shop I trust in the EP area, and unfortunatly I'm deployed so I can't do it time now. Just trying to make a gameplan for things to do while im gone and when I get back.

Also considering a gear change. probably to 373 but maybe to 410. Will makeing the change to 410 hurt my gas mileage that much?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

While a tune will help, it's not absolutely necessary at this point. But, you will need to recalibrate your speedo after a gear change. This is one of the things a tuner can do for you.

Changing to a 4.10 gear will not change your mileage significantly either. When i changed to my 3.90's, i couldn't even tell a difference to be honest.

I would say the same thing get a tuner after you have gears installed. If you need a performance tune then contact Sal at Powersurgeperformance.net he can email you a tune for SCT devices. He's excellent he used to be around me but moved to Fla a cuple years ago. I have one of his email tunes in my car and ran a 13.0 and that after I added the TB without a retune for that.
