Whoa! I was getting 22-24 even with 4.10 gears before the cam install. Cams KILLED my mileage. I now get 18 and am lucky to get 22 (it sometimes rolls to 23) or 23 on the highway cruising at 70. Going from 70 cruise to 80 starts hurting it again with the 4.10's. 13 city...wow. I'm going to put a centri s/c on my car when the weather gets cooler but the more I do to this car the less it becomes daily-driveable. Time to purchase that Jeep Wrangler Unlimited I've been drooling over when this thing is paid for next year....

The Ford Racing Tune was installed when the CAI was installed. I'm running 93 octane (it's what's available in southern Ohio). My car is a 2007 GT, which is pretty much all stock, cept for the CAI and tune.

I've made the calculations several times between gallons filled and used and MPG displayed on cluster and it's accurate to within a few tenths.

you should probably still get a tune from a tuner like brenspeed. the ford tune will still be very conservative and run rich which may cause you to burn more fuel (if i have the concept right!) a brenspeed or other tuner will give you more hp and better gas mileage and may be even better on the engine.

My computer shows 16.5 almost always, once it hit 17 and i was ecstatic! I never reset mine, but i've hand calculated just under 18mpg.

Since the computer averages our MPG, you'll never see much change over a long period of time no matter how much better or worse your fuel consumption is at any given time period by not resetting it. Even though most of the on-boards aren't very accurate, resetting it each fill-up can give you an indication of a mechanical problem, bad tank of fuel, etc.. But to each their own.

I will try resetting it next time and see what I get between tanks.

My displayed mpg is always slightly less than my actual by about .4 mpg. For instance at last fill up, the computer said I had used 13.6 gallons, but the tank only took 13.1 gallons. I checked the calculation and the computer was using 13.6 gallons consumed.

The computer consistently says I use a little more gas than I am able to pump in. I am averaging 18-20 in town, 26-28 on the interstate at 65 mph. Couldn't be happier.

I drive from Cincinnati to Dayton every day for work. When my car just had a CAI and tune I would get 27-28 on the hwy. The computer mileage was pretty close put would always be a little high. If you want your car dyno tuned try Modular Depot in Northern KY. After they tuned my car I got 1 mpg more than the stock tune with the CAI.
