i think shimming the slave has a good
chance of success. the question is, how
much shimming will fully engage the clutch
and still result in a good pedal engagement
position.

i hear you BruceH

you know this might be a good opportunity to try
out the tranny clocking method. one of the forum
members said if you clock the tranny a certain amount
counter clockwise, it has the clearance to come back
and be lowered without hitting the pressure plate fingers.

not sure if he accounted for top mount s/c's, but it sure would
be nice if it works.
