Please Help!!! Supercharger choice
Hey everyone im new to this forum and need some help choosing a supercharger. I drive a 2008 Shelby GT Coupe. i have done some research on different blowers but cant make up my mind on which one to buy. so if anyone who has some experience with superchargers. i would like good power throughout my rpm band and am looking for atleast 500 hp to the crank which means atleast 430 rwhp. please let me know what you think. Thanks.

I just picked up a new 08 Shelby GT and was also looking for a supercharger. The one I am leaning towards is the Vortech V3 from Brenspeed. http://www.brenspeed.com/v3vortech.html

shelby or GT its all the same when adding a SC.
you cannot go wrong with a whipple SC. it is a complete kit and can get you 450-500 rwhp out of the box. it has power from a dig and from a roll, perfect for the street or the track. the whipple comes with the GT500 dual fuel pump, which other SC dont have. and in case you are not convinced, take a look:

How much money do you want to spend? Do you still want the have the strut brace? Are you going to do the work yourself?

i want to spend around 5 to 6 grand but that includes installation because i dont know enough to do that kind of work, and im willing to sacrifice my strut brace. what do you recommend?

Installation is EASY. If you're only looking to spend 5 to 6K for the blower and install, then you're pretty much limited to a paxton or vortech.
