maybe a few cap fulls after 100 or so miles, then i would flush it out . oil pressure with the new gt500 pump is close to 90 psi on start up,thats probably when it was putting most of the oil into the coolant, the actual hole was the size of a pin head.

took the head to a place and they welded it up,then to a machine shop and they re-surfaced the head, its on the car now and torqued down. tonight i should get most of it all back together.

Saw this too, huh moose? Are you thinking what I'm thinking?!?

*****, I'd like to think that your casting defect is an isolated case, but it makes me wonder about the small amount (compared with your cupfulls) of oil-like contaminant I have encountered in my coolant.

well this is the second time i have seen a similar defect with these ford POS heads.another guy on s197 forums bought a set of livernois heads, ported and polished on a longblock. he had a air pocket in one of the spark plug tubes and when they ported it,it caused a air leak in that spark plug tube.

i dont see how on earth that mine could have ever passed in quality control,it was plain as day when i pulled the head off,i cant beleive it wasnt leaking from the factory.

i guess it could have been leaking actually, but when i was running the stock oil pump, maybe it wasnt too bad,and once i stepped up to the gt500 pump it made it real bad.i could drive about 20-30 miles after i flushed it before i would see anything, then i would start to see it in the resevoir.after 100 or so miles i would flush it.

Not thinking what you're thinking, but the opposite. The stuff in my coolant does not resemble oil, except in color and even then it resembles clean, new oil. It does look oily when the coolant is hot, but it changes when it cools. Oil does not do that.

Good to see you are still on here, hows the car running? Mine still runs strong, just surprised some douche tailgating me in an eclipse, on my way back from Mcdonalds. 50-110 and he was way, way, way, way, way back there.

I will think positive thoughts that it stays that way, hard for me, being a pessimist and all. You've had enough problems.
