Default whipple noise

this may be a stupid question but I'd rather be an idiot and know nothings wrong then ignore a potential problem and end up breaking something. I have a 08 GT with a whipple HO on it. During normal acceleration (not under boost) I can hear a low whine noise coming from under the hood. Is this normal with the whipple? My only experience with supercharged cars is with the 02 Saleen 281SC in which you couldnt hear the blower unless you were under boost, so I just want to know if this is normal with the whipple.

If I am under standing this correctly with what you wrote I believe it is normal. Do you have a boost gauge? How does the car feel when cruising? Smooth idle? I think your fine ...I can hear when the car is going into boost but the exhaust is loud so not all the time.

Remember that the S/C itself is turning all the time and air is still getting into the compressor even when cruising...you have replaced everything stock for everything Whipple so I believe it is normal.

Welcome to the forum and the boosted club...nice to get blown isn't it? LOL

I don't have a boost gauge yet, waiting on it to come in the mail, but i can definiately hear when it goes into boost its definately louder than the exhaust but I still have stock headers and cats. It idles fine and other then a little roughness when its warming up it runs great. The oil is good so im pretty sure everythings normal. Thanks for the replies guys, and yes it is great to get blown lol.

Sounds normal to me, like MyGT500 said, the blower is constantly spinning so you're hearing that.
