Angry A/C Slowing down upon long drive? '08 GT

Hey guys,

I'm new here, but am a regular on JeepForums since I have a '97 Wrangler and the '08 GT is the girl's car

Here is the problem that just cropped up (and very convenient since the odometer just tripped 40k):

After a long drive (1+ hr) and having the a/c on, the output of the fan seems to get worse until you can barely feel any air coming out. You can hear the fan blowing pretty hard when you have it on high, but it seems almost no air is coming out. I don't believe it has anything to do with the compressor or lack of R134a since the air that you can feel is ice cold, it's just there's not much coming out.

Also, I can leave the car setting with the ignition off for a bit of time and it will come back, but will quickly go away depending on how long I have let the car sit.

I have felt around the floor and defrost vents and no air is being diverted there, so I'm pretty stumped as to what could be causing it.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated as a search brought up no results.
