I have to agree (comment in bold) and the motorcraft filters are some of the best....though I use K&N as well and Mobil1 syn right now and have since the first oil change about 3 yrs ago. Thinking of making the switch to pennzoil like stated above but will wait for the oil analysis Moose gets done before I switch over....so that will be in about a yr as I have the Mobil1 right now for the last oil change of the season (time for storage)
My initial impression is the engine is smoother and I'm pretty sure it's actually running cooler. I can not prove any of that of course, but the oil analysis won't lie. It probably runs a little better because of new oil, but my head temps while fully warmed up have never dropped below 173F, even on a cold morning, so I'll have to wait till it gets cold here and see what's what. I don't really believe any of the oil companies claims and I think anyone running Amsoil is part of some religious cult. You'd have to be brainwashed to give someone that much money for oil, lol!

lol that's why I sold the redline I bought a long time ago. Seemed like a foolish waste not to mention it technically doesn't meet Ford's specs.

You guys are behind the curve. I've been using PP now for a year.

I'll go ahead and try the Pennzoil since I'm due for a change sometime by the end of the year. I don't expect to notice any difference, but whatever. As long as there is oil in there, thats all I care about. If I do notice anything magical, I'll report back.

I had Penzoil Platinum 5w20(I think) last year.

It wasn't bad oil, Amsoil seems to run have an easier idle, and more power. It might just be the quality of the filters though. The Penzoil was run on a ****ty generic filter.
