Default High Speed Issues - Governed Too Low?

So early this morning I was out and was having a little fun with another S197 on the freeway. The car felt strong, no misfires to throttle lag or hesitations. We did one run from about 60 - 120 or so and my car felt like it hit a brick wall at 120. I was around 3,500 - 3,800 rpms in 4th and the car just wouldn't go any faster.

I can't recall ever going that fast in this car before, so I'm not sure if it was like this before I installed the Brenspeed 93 tune or not.

But the car feels strong and drives completely normally otherwise. Does anyone know if the Brenspeed tunes have a governor or something built into the logic?

DISCLAIMER: Steve O Chap does not condone high speed driving on public roads.

I've never met a road long enough to reach my car's top speed, but I know what you mean. After a certain point past 110, these cars start to lose steam BIG TIME.
Most tuners disable the speed limiter. You probably just came face to face with the laws of physics and aerodynamics.

Just get more mods to overcome your car's aero limits and spit on Physics' face.

I think it's an aerodynamic limitation. Same thing happens to me. Was better after I got shorter gears, but still noticeable.

Aero will not be the limiting factor to 140-150 depending oh HP of your car

Not to change the subject but did you install the Saleen Supershaker or did you have it done by Brenspeed. I was thinking of going to Brenspeed for some upgrades and wondered if you had gone to them for installation. Thanks.

Stock we should be capable of ~140 MPH. Although I've never gone beyond 130 MPH, my Stang had plenty of life left. Check your speed limiter.

I can verify the same as the others. Downshifting to 4th and barely getting on the gas, I can cruise well beyond ~125 with no effort.
