Fuel Rail Crack
#21
$75 to $90 an hour is about what repair shops get nowadays. And I'm sure he pulled out the flat rate manual, looked up the job, and quoted you that times his hourly shop fee, the parts marked up to retail, and a small charge for rags and other stuff.
There's a simple way out of this; tell him you don't have the money to pay his bill. He'll drop you like a bad habit.
The shop can send the parts back, besides, that's not really your problem.

I said I couldn't afford to have the work done and he said that if the parts weren't special order, he would have been able to send them back. He said he can't send them back so I'm obligated to pay for the parts ($341) and from there he said if he can help me out on the price of labor, he will do so. I said I wouldn't be able to afford the rate of service so I would have to buy the parts. As the parts aren't in yet, he said to just leave my car at his shop 'til Monday, and at that time, we can work out pricing or if not, he will just sell me the parts.
I still think I would rather just buy the parts and do the work myself. Or buy the parts, sell the new ones and buy EagleStrokers. We shall see.
Thanks for the help.

Yeah it ticks me off but at this point there just isn't much I can do. I didn't want to make a scene. I'm just going to wait until Monday and then get my car the hell out of there. Then see if I can sell them new on Ebay or something. Or maybe just contact the distributor and see if they will let me return them.
This is a ****ty situation.
