Default 2010 Mustang GT auto 0-60 times

I just bought a 2010 GT automatic. I imagine it has 3.31 gears (I believe that's what stock is). Question: how do the 0-60 times of an auto 5-spd compare with the 0-60 times with the man 5-sp (with higher gears)? The only cars that are reviewed in R&T, MT and C&D seem to be the 3.73 5-speed. Thanks for your input!

When my car was stocked with the 3:31's the 60' times were around 2.1 or 2.2

I'd say with 3.73's the car should do 0-60 in about 5 seconds flat, maybe a bit quicker.

I read the stock auto GT 0-60 is 4.9sec while the man GT 0-60 is 4.2 (assuming the driver is doing his job perfectly)

4.9 to a 4.2 is pretty substantial for only changing from an Automatic to a manual. I think 4.9 is about right for both

Have you ever driven a stock auto S197? They shift slower than sh*t. I would believe that there could be about half a second's difference.

Stock GT does not even sniff 4.2 sec 0-60.

05-09 Gt manuals hit 60 at 5.2-5.3 seconds stock
autos hit 60 at 5.4 seconds (they are 100lbs heavier than the manual)

2010 auto will hit 60 about 5.3 seconds after the drivetrain is broken in. They have a few more horsepower than the older ones. 315 vs 300.

If supercharged and tuned correctly with suspension up grades you will hit 60 in 4.5 seconds.

hope this helps
