GT500 mufflers on a GT??

GT500 mufflers on a GT??
Anyone now if they will fit? Will they make the car any louder? I want to get FRPP GTA's, was browsing craigslist and someone has them on sale for $125 for the pair here locally. Contemplating picking them up if they will fit and give the car a louder exhaust note.

In short, yes, they WILL work.
I have GTA's on my 6er and love them! With the GT,
I'm sure you'll be even MORE pleased.
They have a deep growl that sounds awesome at WOT, and at idle they still purr.
For $125 for the pair, you can't go wrong. Plus, they have some NICE exhaust tips.
Here's a pic of my car, you can see the tips poking out the back.

I was under the impression that the GT500 axlebacks are the same as the FRPP GTA's. The GT's are the Stingers and are definitely louder than the GTA's but they drone some. Doesn't bother me, though. But if you're looking to sound a good bit louder than stock, you may be disappointed with the GTA's.

i want more growl but no cabin drone hence why I am leaning toward GTA's. I dont want to be heard around the block or anything, I just wanna have the car be a bit more noticable.
So just to reiterate the FRPP GTA's are the same as the OEM GT500 muffler/axelback?

What are you guys talking about? The stock GT500 mufflers are the same as the stock GT mufflers.
Don't confuse the GT500 with the Shelby GT. The Shelby GT comes with GTAs.
The GT500 KR mufflers are sold by Ford Racing as the FR500S mufflers. They are louder than the GTAs and don't have any drone. That's what I have and they sound amazing, but more pricy than the GTAs or Stingers.

Just as sycd said. The stock GT500s do come with mufflers from stock mustangs, it is the GT500 KRs that come with different mufflers. The GTAs are the step up from the stock mufflers that they put on the 07-08 Shelby GTs. One of my friends has them on his 08 Shelby GT with the FRPP X pipe, and they are deeper than stock mufflers but no where near as deep or loud as my FRPP "Stingers" aka "Borla Stingers". I have not heard the mufflers from the GT500 KR in person but my guess is they would be an in between from the GTAs to the "Stingers".
