Loading Different Tune from SCT X3...
When I installed my tune over the weekend, I used the 87 octane setting because I still had about 3/4 tank of 87. I was very impatient and did NOT want to wait until my tank ran dry to upload one of the premium settings. I work fairly close to home, so my commuting during the week is rather limited, so it may have been another week or so between fill ups.
So here's the reason why I'm posting: Now that I need a fresh tank, am I able to fill up with either 91 or 93 and simply upload the appropriate tune when I get home? (Gas station is about 1/2 mile from home) I am just trying to avoid a stupid mistake that may be commonly known to others.
Forgive me for such a simple question, but I am new to the aftermarket tune world.

I recently went from a 91 tune to the 93 tune with no issues. Same procedure as when you first uploaded the original tune.
Make sure you are running and have been running the right octane through the system before the new tune upload.

If the tune is an SCT canned tune, I believe that you are fine to drive with the top tune installed with lower octane. Just don't get on it or drive it hard until you have refueled with the proper octane. This is what I was told by my original Steeda installer.
Cheers.
