Default paxton vs. vortech?

Hello, I am currently researching these 2 superchargers(non-intercooled versions from brenspeed). Does either of these s/c require a oil line feed? Which one is harder to install? Do they make the same power? I am fairly mechanincly inclinded, so I will be doing the install myself. My car as is sits right now has 300rwhp and 312rwt. What should I expect with the supercharger? Remember that I am running longtubes with no cats. Can I keep my original programmer that I got from brenspeed and just get a tune instead of getting another programmer? Thanks.

those SC are similar. both of them you can get self lubricated.
you can use your tuner, and just get a tune, they might even pro rate it bc you got the tuner.
what are your long term goals for the mustang?
between those 2, i would get whatever is cheaper.

Long term goals is to be in the 12's with a car that my wife will still drive, lol. Still be able to get good gas milage as I drive it quite a bit in the summer. Is one louder then the other?

It's my understanding that the paxton is louder than the vortech. I have asked a lot about these units in the past.

Those kits are identical, just if your prefer the Paxton name over the Vortech name. They both come as SL (self Lubricated) unless requested. These kit add 150 hp. Since you already have the tuner, we can take $200 off the price of the kit. These are great kits and easily upgradable in the furture for more power. Give us a call and we can answer any questions you have.

I think you are compairing the Paxton Novi 2200 to the Vortech V3, in that case the Paxton is louder. The Paxton Novi 1200 and the V3 are identical blowers with different name tages. Just so you know.

So, if they add 150hp would that put me over the 400 rwhp then? I also heard that the non-intercooled don't produce so good when you car is hot, what kind of power drop should a person expect on a hot day with a warm car. Thanks.

I'm in Houston, Texas, which is roughly as hot as the surface of the sun in the summer. I ran my Vortech V2 non-intercooled for a year with no heat issues at all. Don't worry about that.
