and if you still have your heart set on the flowmasters take your car to the local exhaust shop, the mufflers are 98.00 a piece and they can use the old tips. takes about an hour and you dont even have to get your hands dirty.

by the way man, i love those rims. i havent spent any money on the outside of the car, just on the motor. i did get some bfg drag radials. they make the tire stick out a little more( 235 to a 275 ). i hope they hook up. i will find out friday night. first thing in the morning its off to the dyno to get the tune and get the nitrous dialed in. bank of america thinks i am a great customer. nice car.

You cant just put any model Flows on the car. Get the ones specific to the car and you'll be fine. The exhaust system on these cars will support 450 horse, so you can do a lot of upgrades and still be fine. Summitt Racing has these for $277 with free shipping.

I don't recomend doing this. You're better off purchasing the American Thunder specifically designed for the '05. They are easy to install, about an hour and look awsome.

if there is no horsepower difference then why does it matter? i just got my car off the dyno and it put down 288rwhp, 301rwtq on just the tune. with the 100 shot of nitrous it belted out 354 and 398 at 6200 rpm. changing from the motorcraft plugs to the autolite ht1 was worth 5hpand almost 10 ft lbs. wow is all i can say. i am going to try to make it to the track tonight. hoping for low 12s with the gear change drag radials.

you know thats funny, because the ones on my car came right off the shelf, in feb. the day i bought the car. and with the stock tips, it looks totally stock. i really dont think he had 2005 specific flowmasters just sitting on the shelf. as long as the inlet and outlet match it seems to me it shouldnt matter. but hey, i am no master at this. i am just getting started. oh yeah, it only cost me 240.00 bucks, and i didnt get my hands dirty.

QUOTE FROM ARTICLE:
"The JBA mufflers came into the test with the lowest price tag, while the Bassani and Ford Racing products made the most power. If you dig the classic 5.0 growl, as does your author, then you should check out the Flowmaster stuff. The tone is reminiscent of the 5.0 days of yesteryear."

"Tune in next issue, as we will evaluate X-pip offerings for the '05 Mustang GT."

Hope this info was usefull for you guys.
