Yeah I do drive safely imo. Neither of those times I went more than 10 mph over the speed limit. Also both times there were no cars in sight. If you race just be smart about it and don't do any of that fast and furious crap

Your GT will have quite a kick out of the box, especially since you've only been driving for 6 months. I'd go with aesthetics first, IMO, while you learn your car. Once you get a feel for it, then go for performance. All of my purchases so far has come from American Muscle, and I'm pretty satisfied.

Like people mentioned before me, do drive safe. It is easy to wipe out on a v8 mustang. It has enough power to launch you 180, smash into a guard rail, continue to go uphill backwards even while the gears weren't in reverse.. the only reason it stopped was the front end crashed and the engine auto shutoff. I'd hate to see another mustang wrecked.

Enjoy your mustang and have fun making it your own, and post some pics!!

Why are you guys saying axle backs over catbacks?

and what gains would he be looking at with just the 3.73 gears?

Gears get the car off the line faster. You car prolly came with 3.31 I would switch to 4.10, brenspeed tune and CAI. Chin spoiler, quarter window treatment, dark *** tint since its crazy sunny hot in the big D!

Drive your car with respect to its power, never ever show off, it will bite you in the *** back. Now lets see some pics of the new hot rod.

The stock system flows very well. Neither an aftermarket axleback or cat back will add performance; only sound. Why pay more for a catback?

It hard not to when your young and have a sick car though. Just remember this one thing driving like you respect your car gets you more respect. Plus it always seemed to get me more girls.... Haha

I know how cool it is being 18 and haveing a bad *** car. I have also had my license suspended twice and paid over 4k in tickets within 4 years. But I drive very safely now.

But that being said your best money spent would be a SCT X3 tuner and cold air intake from brenspeed. They have superior tunes and customer service. Next thing I wuld buy would be an axle back exhaust. There are many great ones it all depends onn what sound you prefer. Next thing would be a set of gears either 4:10s or 3:73s. With those mods you will have one fast car man.

As far as exterior goes just do a chin spoiler and lower it or something maybe a gt500 spoiler.

But congrats on the car and welcome!

Hey! It says here that my insurance is so overpriced, despite a perfect driving record, becuase pypedgt is a douchebag...

Stretch your money further. Buy on forums or ebay. Many performances mods can be found there. Usually you can get mods for 50% to 75% of a new item.

Start with CAI and Tuner
Then exhaust if you want your car louder
then suspension or wheels

So after finally taking it around for 2 whole days more or less I've come to realize how powerful the car is and like most of you concluded, performance is not needed and I can second that. Last thing I need is it being any more dangerous and out of my control. I thought about getting sequential tail lights and angel eyes from americanmuscle which leaves me with the exhaust and air filter/intake. Also, if it makes any difference I just found out my car does not have American specs but rather GCC/Gulf specs. (apparently the A/C is more powerful to suit the hot weather here and it's less powerful than the american specifications Mustang from what I've heard).

If you guys could just hook me up with a link or two to the perfect items online I'd be greatful! Anything that just makes the car sound loud, really loud! As far as performance goes, I'll stick to the stock bits and pieces for now. Nice to see such a friendly and helpful gang here at MF! Here are some pics!

You should put cams in it too man, that with a intake/exhaust would sound SOOOOOOOOO good. My dad's old chevelle had cams in it and the lopeing would turn me on everytime! haha
