Hello there, I hope that this is in the right spot. I just need a quick opinion. I currently have an 05 Roush in Legend Lime. I love my car, but I recently found and brand new 2014 5.0 that if I trade in my car, I may be able to get. Just the baseline model with the 6 speed, no leather or Track Apps or anything like that. Which is fine, but I'm just not sure if I should give up my 05 for the 5.0. Even though the 5.0 is a whole lot faster, its also not exactly the one that I want. For example, its Red....and doesnt have the Shaker nor any options really...were as my 05 has all the bells and whistles that you could get on an 05. Any opinions would be vastly appreciated. I would keep it until you find exactly what you want in a 5.0. That said, the Shaker hood and air intake system really doesn't do anything for our cars. Once upon a time, black magic boxes called carburetors benefitted from such a ram air device but on our cars, you might be talking 1-2hp for a lot of money in to the hood and system. I would start looking for a newer 5.0 though and get the one you want, not what you could readily find. Look for one with upgrades that you can easily add also, like heated seats and the track apps. Everything else can be added or upgraded later and likely with better parts.

I also have an 05 Stage 1 Roush, which I absolutely love. It sounds as though you are considering the trade because it's a newer vehicle? I agree with JCON, if it isn't exactly what you want don't do it. You'll regret it. Unless you've got the cash laying around to turn it into exactly what you want.......I'd keeping working on the 05 to make it "your" car. I plan to spend 2014 turning my 05 into exactly what I want. American Muscle can expect me to be one of their best clients! And I got a local shop throwing on a SC in a couple months.

I'd wait awhile, as the new 2015 will be coming out, the deals on the older model will get better. If you choose to keep it, as the other members say, mod it to the car of your dreams.
