BBK Twin 62mm Throttle Body (05-10 GT)?
Alright i plan on goin full bolt on minus headers. And i see many people havent goten throttle bodies and i talked to my local tuner and says that the throttle body cause ideling and tuning problems? But i looked at american muscle and everything was 5 star reviews and seen a hp increase of 10hp. So i want to know if its worth to get its only like 230 bucks and if anyone had problems or if people have good things to say about it. Thx

throttle bodies always seem like a waste to me i doubt you need it the stock one should flow just fine i know for the s197s they are worthless unless you are sucking a lot of air in

The stock TB is adequate for all typical bolt-on's for an NA S197 engine. Clean the stock TB and use that money on other mods.

I know this is an old thread but i would if you have the money get the 62 mm throttle but put it on the ford racing 3v intake manifold that will give you up to 20-40 plus hp. and a lot of torque. That's what i did to mine and it will burn the tires in 2nd. the price is around 530-590 just shop around. cjpony has them for a good price.

No f'n way.
You are full of it.

[Administrative Edit]
I got this from my dyno test and if you read some of the fast ford Mag. there was a write up on it where they did dyno test and compared different results with other mods, but really don't care if you losers like it or not.

rofl wow, the holidays really bring out the hostility in people.. sheesh..
I also read nothing but good stuff on AM about the TBs and new FRPP manifolds. No feedback on it on the forums though. I too am interested in the Manifold/TB combo..
more interested in the C&L manifold though. NOt sure if the FRPPs flexing is a good thing in freezing weather..

I've heard there MAY be some benefit of an aftermarket TB with SOME of the newer intake manifolds but there's been some issues of design related problems and some low RPM range losses, but I haven't seen anything documenting it.
