Default cdc chin spoiler question?

hey guys i bought my cdc chin spoiler about a year ago, its pretty scratched up my now seeing as how my car sits about 2-3 inches from the ground. my chin spoiler is the textured black and i went to the body shot to see if they could paint it to match my car but they said that material is unpaintable... i thought you could paint anything? anyone know if the shop was bs'ing me? haha

Thats the shops way of telling you "We dont know how to sand and paint textured plastic"

lol. yeah.

The CDC chin spoiler usually comes unpainted... so you can apply your own paint to it.. and even if there was different paint on it, a body shop can still rework it..

thats what i thought, they were repainting my front end cause i got a cervinis hood through insurance so i told them "hey go ahead and paint the lip too" i guess ill try another place.

That is odd though, usually they would take on extra work if you $$ them but maybe they are that busy? Did you pick this shop or was this the insurance shop?

i figured since they would have the paint all ready and whatnot, it wouldnt be THAT hard...

Right, I wouldn't think it would be a hassle. I sent my parts unpainted to the body shop and they requested it that way since they were matching paint anyways. Maybe they are busy and figured they wouldn't get any extra money out of it. Either or/both lol.

youd think the one thing they pretty much specialize in , they can pretty much do...lol thats some funny sh*t , id pretty much laugh in his face after he told me that
