You may need HD strut mounts.

agreed 95% of the time it is the strut mounts gone bad upgrade to the maximum motorsports steel strut mounts that will fix your problem

I picked up the GT500 front mounts for like $65, the others are probably serious overkill unless you race at the strip or on the track a lot.

EDIT- for that matter if you have no mods and don't plan mods, just get the stockers replaced with stock parts. FWIW, i need new ball joints on the front of my car and it clicks on occassion when turning and the shock mounts on my car are new, have a shop you trust (if thre is such a thing) look and see if yours are bad, perhaps that is the problem.

Check the sway bar end links too.

You will need an 8 mm and 18mm socket and a dap of locktite. Mine came loose several times and made a popping noise until I dabbed some locktite on there.

Yes, check the Sway bar endlinks first. Mine have come loose twice on the drivers side and once on the passenger side. Use blue locktite on it when you re-torque it. I didn't use locktite, and mine keep coming undone. It wont be loose enough that you can feel it, but when you go to tighten it, you will be able to tell that it isnt torqued to 85 ftlbs. If you want to check whether its a sway bar or shock issue, go over a speedbump a couple of times. If you hit the speedbump straight on with both front tires are the same time, and it doesnt make much of a noise, then its probably the sway bar. If you hit the speedbump at an angle, and it makes a ton of noise, its probably the sway bar end links. Just put the front up on jackstands and take the wheels off each side and try tightening the end links (mine always come loose on the part that mounts to the strut). Hope its the endlinks and not the mounts, b/c then you can fix it for free.
