Car is Dead...
Just went to go run some errands and my car wont start. I have had trouble turning it over for the last two weeks with the cold weather here in chicago and when i was in michigan. The car has been sitting since wednesday when i drove it last. So for about 3 and a half days. I don't believe i left the radio or anything else on.
I assume its a dead battery. Anyone elese have trouble with this? Anyone recommend a better battery?
Thanks for any input.

If you can jump it the local auto zone/pep boys will check the battery and charge system free. I replaced mine with an optima when that happened to me for about $170.

ok cool. I called auto zone and they said their duralast batteries ranged from 70-120 or so. I haven't heard of optima but i assume it is a better battery since it cost you more?
So apparently ford just puts POS batteries in these cars? I guess im not supprised based on some of the complaints iv read about on the forum.

Optima's are a great battery but overkill unless you run a lot of high power gear with the engine off.
Interstate is my first choice, followed by DieHard. Autozone seems to be a good bet from many that have them and the plus is, no matter where you are you're likely to find an Autozone if you have issues with the battery and you're out of town.
