Angry Damn electronic windows...

I noticed something this morning when I was driving to work. Wind sound. At first I thought I left the door cracked open, but this was not the case. It was the window. After work I get back in the 05 and drove back home, and again I noticed the wind. The window was open once again.

At home I deducted that the mechanism responsible for lowering and raising the window when opening and closing the drivers side door was faulty. The passenger side remains fine. It lowers it just fine when opening, but it just doesn't raise it after the door closes.

Does anyone know if there is an easy fix for this? I am so not letting the dealer fix it at the inspection coming month as that will undoubtedly cost beaucoup bones for a simple convenience feature.

Sometimes the auto up feature on my car gets flakey, try disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes, that usually fixes mine.

Did you try re-calibration just in case?

Try reading the owners manual.
That can save you boocoupes of $$ in the long run.
Or search window recalibration...

I actually never thought of grabbing the manual. *facepalm*

But thanks guys, the recalibration worked, it's working like it should again!

I had that happen to me once and it was from my battery being on it's way out. I started my car with the window partially down with the door being open and when starting the car the voltage dropped too low and that caused the auto window feature to unlearn. Be sure after you re-calibrate the auto window feature to check your battery as well.

Wow... Read the manual... What a brilliant idea.I'd have NEVER thought that there would be information about my CAR in there. But I've heard the OM can bite and is lethal.

Now what did I do with that sarcasm icon?

In that case, read it when you have trouble sleeping.

morning reading time while making a deposit.
