If it was me, I would keep the Goodyears on the GT500 wheels and use them all year. Sell the 17's and the Bullitt's and then, buy two more GT500 wheels and put drag radials on them.

a 305 tire on a 9.5" wheel is WAY to much tire and is flat out dangerous. The max tire you can get on that wheel safely is a 285.

I say stick to what you have on there. A 285 is enough tire for high hp cars no need to go any wider IMHO.

well i would do a mix of both

get whatever you want for summer/performance tiires on all 4 GT500 wheels (all new tires)
keep a set of off summer wheels and tires (current setup)
mount a DR on the pair of 17x9s or keep the 555rs on them for the track

then sell the rest which would be the 4 Goodyears and maybe the Nittos.

If you want want a set of DRs for the back in the summer also then option 1 is sounding good

Most definitely no wider than a 285 safely on a 9.5" rim. Soley for the track, I'd sweat anything wider than 295.

i like scenario 3.

Why not put 305 on a 9.5 wheel? i had 315's on my 9" saleen wheels before i upgraded them to 10" wheels. yeh it bulged, but all the tire experts i talked to say its fine.

315 recommends like a 10-10.5 wheel and you put it on a 9 wheel and the "tire experts" said this was ok....i think they should be fired lol
