nitrous?

ive realized im not going to dump 5k into a supercharger for this car.

however i am still considering a conservative nitrous application. still just shopping around; but are the Steeda Billet Charge-Motion Control Plates - '05-'08 Ford Mustang a good way to go? or just the standard kit?

this is my shopping list

Brisk 3VR12S Two Heat Range Colder Spark Plug Mustang (mid 08-09) 8 $135.60
Mustang GT Steeda Underdrive Pulleys (05-10) $199.95 1 $199.95
Mustang GT Charge Motion Delete Plates Steeda (05-08) $299.95 1 $299.95(change for no2 type)
05-10 Mustang GT & GT500 Oil Separator Steeda $79.95 1 $79.95
Mustang GT Lower Control Arms Steeda (05-10) $199.45 1 $199.45
Mustang GT Zex Wet Nitrous System 75-175 HP (05-10) $539.99 1 $539.99
Zex Nitrous Bottle Heater $114.96 1 $114.96
Zex Nitrous Traction Control Window Switch $159.48 1 $159.48
Silver Bullitt Drag Pack (two 17" wheels & two ET Street Tires) $649.00 1 $649.00
Subtotal: $2,378.33
Total: $2,378.33

already have 08 GT w/ brenspeed tune, steeda intake, and 4.10 gears, sss exhuast. and have run 13.0000000001 lol
this seems to be a pretty good bang/buck combo plus my current mods = 11s?

id assume you set a throttle switch so nitrous is only on WOT, then use the window switch to set rpm range (id guess 2000-6250?) and maby so it only does 2-4 gear? not sure if i want it in first but with those tires i could probably handle the extra power; just a ton of wear using the nitrous on launch.

(if this is my second vehicle (i just got a cummins dodge!!!) can i put MICKEY THOMPSON ET STREET 26X11.5X17 RACING TIRE, on it during the summer if i only drive too/from track and cruising ~ 1500miles a summer?)

I was looking into the zex kit also about a year ago. I wanted a big bump in power only when I need it and without having to dump 6-7k for the sc and accessories. I would stay away from the steeda plates. Look for the zex wet kit for our mustangs. colder sparkplugs, and what accessories you want for the zex. I'm assuming remote opener, purge, the window switch, that automatically shoots the nitrous as programmed.
I had an issue with buying the bottle warmer when looking. If I was using my zex it would be to open it up and be ready for a race quickly, so the bottle warmer wouldn't even have a chance to get the bottle heat up. If you are planning to only use on the strip, the bottle warmer and possibly a nitrous specific tune would be great. I think you can find better prices on the rear wheels and et's if you shop around. Also, whether the underddrive pulleys really add anything to s197's?

I can't see this setup hitting 11's on your stock internals and with a basic shot, not a big shot.

so dump plates + pulleys = ~600 installed and put that towards some more suspension work?

i know i could save a couple $ shopping, but brenspeed will give me a free tune when i buy from them, so i do.

You might look into a timing retard module that activate along with toe nitrous as well. Adds a good measure of safety.

I wouldn't.

Competition tires do not maintain the same level of grip all the way from sticker to all worn out. Some of the ET's grip will gradually heat-cycle away in street driving even if you aren't driving hard at all. Is it worth the convenience to get fewer track outings before they start to go away on you? This one's your call, I guess.

They don't cope with heavy rain very well, particularly if they are not radials (and the front tires are).
