Default Oil/Air separator for PCV hose? DIY?

So I was looking at the Steeda Oil/Air separator for $69 +shipping and thought, could I do this cheaper? Air compressors have this issue also and I was wondering if I could use a water/oil/air separator from an air compressor? Any thoughts?

Yea, it's been done. I have read several threads on either here or Allfordmustangs or The Mustang Source. One or all of them have articles on this. You can buy all the parts at Lowes or Home Depot and do it yourself for around $20. Do a search, it's worth the trouble. Another good guy to check out it RatStang he does a lot of stuff for Mustangs. Check out ratstangrestoration.com and I think he has a write up.
