Thinkin about Cams?

Ok, Let me kinda state what my goals are. I want a cam that me and my friend can install ourselves at his storage work shop. I want some kinda noticable Lope to it. It doesn't have to sound like a 1969 big block but some kinda noticable lope. I want atleast a higher power gain to loss ratio. It doesn't necessarily have to yield me 35+ RWHP but I want to be able to still make up for the loss in the low end. Because for a while I'll be running stock gears. I have a 5 spd, with intake, Kooks LT's and SCT 3 from brenspeed. I will probably upgrade my intake which is a spectre intake. Overall I would like more streetability(Durability) than track ability. I only go once or twice a year.

A lot of people like the BBR Stage I cams (Billet) and the Hot Rod Cams. I like both, the hot rods give more of a real old school sound and great N/A power, the BBR's give a little less gain and less thump, but are much more effective for power adder vehicles. Best of all, both of these cams will allow you to maintain the VCT, allowing you to maintain your gas mileage without suffering.

The Hot Rods will make more than the BBR stage 1 (in N/A setup). This is something BBR will tell your themselves. But, as mentioned, the BBR cams are more friendly to boost than the Hot Rods so there you go.

I'm really starting to think I may go ***** Thumpr's,not sure which stage yet though. They're sold through Brenspeed so I can save money gettin a modified tune from them. They have a good lope and seem to offer a decent enough power gain to make me happy. As long as I don't get slower it'll be worth it for me. Plus I have a good amount of complimentary mods and I do plan on upgrading from the Spectre CAI I have now to something better. Any suggestions on that? I'd prefer to stay brenspeed for all my major mods.
