Aluminator 3v - price drop
#21
Wow, that is a fantastic price, i ahve bene eyeing that SB or livernoise, but the Livernoise is now about $1000 more expensive. I ran across some YouTube vid of someone using this exact SB on a S197 running 9's the other day so it must hold up well. So the vid said anyway. i think for most of us guys looking at boost and in teh 550rwhp range this will be the block to get. The onyl downside to this is i bet the things will be on backorder quickly. Wonder if they are dropping the price of the 3V heads to go with it?

Hmmm... so someone remind me, $998, i beleive these heads were $1349 each last i checked. Anyone recall that for sure?

i'm with you, i only want to replace
my engine once as well.
this shortblock is for someone who
doesn't want to be surprised by
a broken connecting rod, while
playing around WOT on a nice sunny
weekend drive.

Well then, I know this it OT but...for the guy that has the poor luck and blows his stock 4.6. Where do they look? It just seems like $3200 is a solid deal for a shortblock (if the heads were damaged too it looks like Ford Racing has some for 1000$). I have the benefit of a Ford tech working for $50 an hour. So this option seems cheaper then a built 4.6 or 5.0 long block. I'm a novice when it comes to this R&R engine stuff.

I just think it would be big pimpin' status to say you have a 4.6L engine with a 4.2L supercharger...pushing 700RWHP at 14PSI...whatup
But I guess it all comes down to your $$ level
