mufflers $$$
hello ya'll, new to the world of mustangs. sold my vette last year and got me a 2006 GT. has a CAI and want to install some axle backs. does anybody know if ther is a difference between Flowmaster American Thunder and the same muffler sold by Summit Racing for only $199 a pair? maintinence is not a issue because my car stays in a garage and is not driven in the rain. My other option is SLP loudmouth miffler eliminators for $365 or Pypes Muffler eliminators for $265. any help would be great.

I am not too sure the difference between the Summit mufflers and the flows. Regarding the difference between the pypes muffler deletes and the slp lm is the tips. The pypes is a single walled resonator tips and the SLP LM are double walleded resonated tips. Does this make a difference in sound? I am not sure. I have yet to here the pypes muffler deletes in person. From what I have read, most people like the sound of the SLP LM over the Pypes. Instead of buying new SLP or anyother axleback/muffler, look in the classifieds of various mustang forums. In the classifieds at www.allfordmustangs.com, there is a pair of SLP lm for sale.

It depends on what type of tone you want? Will you be adding an o/r h or x later? I think the axlebacks alone aren't enough for most of us. And why these 3 valve's sound like trash compared to the good setups in the 2/4 valves.

I forgot that I had these videos. The first one is with stock mufflers and the second is with FRPP Stingers.
