I beg to differ on the "No Chip" comments. I have a Jet Preformance Chip in my 05 V6. It plugs into the computer in the engine compartment. It plugs into the last bank on the computer, then the wire plugs into the chip. Gains are around 10-15 HP with recomended 91+ octane. It's comparable to a canned tune. Just my 2 cents.

Go to bottom of page and click on video on how to load tune. This will explain it.

As was previously mentioned chances are good that you have the original tune. Most who buy a K&N don't know about tuning. If they did they wouldn't buy a K&N.

Hit nail on head.
Check glove box for the needed tuner to check for tune installed.

Yet another reason NOT to buy a GT WITH a CAI and NO TUNER to
go with it. Avoid those Stangs likes the plagues.

Keep begging!

Its not a 'chip' as the SN95s used. The 'chip' is an EEPROM.
Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory.
Some were only PROMs.
The Jet piece of junk you have no where resembles an EEPROM
and fools the computer programming by changing the return
voltages of certain sensors, not changing the programming/fuel tables/
timing tables/ rev limits/ timing advances and such like a 'chip' on a SN95
or a OBDII port 'tuner' on a S197.
Like comparing apples to rotton oranges.

Well I'll just take my "Junk" and go home...................Oh wait I am home. All I know, is that my gas mileage, and pick-up is better than before. Got it cheap, and I'm not looking to go to the track anytime soon. Was just trying to help.........sorry.

Just a thought... if the vehicle was sold with the manufactures warranty intact wouldn't that imply that it has a stock tune? I'd think dealerships would check this before selling a car to cover their rears.

You're giving the dealer too much credit...
