KB Boost a Pump/Brenspeed V3 kit
I have a question regarding the use of the KB BAP that is included in the Brenspeed Vortech kit. It is my understanding that the BAP boost switch is not used, it is essentially wired to be always on. If this is the case, what would be the benefit of wiring it this way? Will the fuel pump then be over-driven at all times and not just during boost? I guess I'm still a little confused on how these BAP's operate. Thanks

I've not heard that this is how the thing is hooked up. The BAP is supposed to only activate at WOT or with a switch, so 99% of the time its essentially doing nothing if I understand correctly.
From the KB website:
"It activates only at full throttle or boost, so it doesn’t “bloat” or “overload” the fuel system at idle or cruise where full time pumps and extra fuel are not required. So, the fuel isn’t heated (gasoline begins to boil at 95°). No “cool can” is necessary. And it’s much easier to install (cut one wire) and more reliable than fuel pumps."

I think he's talking about the throttle switch, not the crontrol module. Brenspeed recommends soldering the wires together in the throttle switch. I called KB and they also recommended doing the same. I cut my wires at the base and soldered them there. The control module should be set to MAX and forgotten about. There was a thread recently where someone running Brenspeed stage 3, had their control module set 3/4 of the way (read 30% on module) and blew his engine on a cold day. Keep it at Max (read 50% on module).

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like nobody really uses the vacuum switch KB talks about on their website. I guess it's just another switch/connection that could potentially fail. Better safe than sorry when it comes to fuel delivery right? Great forum btw!
