Default which tune ?

Im buying my tuner monday from brenspeed. I'm not sure which tune(s) i should get with it. im wanting to be able to use the tunes i get for DDing and for anytime i get the urge to get on it. I'm just wondering if there's a tune, that would be too much for the engine if i was to say, drive a long distance or anything? the 93 Tune sounds great but im not sure if it's going to be too much for what im wanting. any input on what might be recommended is appreciated much...thanks :-)

I got brenspeeds tunes 89,91,93. I have only used the 93 tune and its nice to have the power when u want it but still have a car that is great for dd. Dont think to much about it as ur not going to break any hp records. u will not be disappointed.

Simply get 3 tunes to match the octane available. I have the 87, 89 and 93 octane tunes since that's what I can get. Each tune has it's own characteristics. The 87 custom tune kicks azz over the 87 stock tune and is very smooth thru the entire RPM range. My 89 tune has more punch in the lower to mid RPM bands whereas my 93 tune is a killer in the upper RPM range. For my style of driving, I typically run the 89 tune after experimenting. If I raced, I'd definately run the 93 tune. But if I wanted the performance but also some cost savings, I'd run the custom 87.

Get more than one octane tune incase you find yourself somewhere that doesn't sell a high enough octane. When I was driving through NM, the highest octane they had was 90, so good thing I had an 89 tune.

I have never tried any of the other tunes other than the 92 octane brenspeed tune. You wont be disppointed.

What do you mean by too much? There is not an overwhelming amount of power if that is what you mean? The shifts in an auto are much better. I only have their 92 oct tune that I run with 93 octane. Are you getting a cai also?

As stated, just make sure you get tunes for multiple octane levels. Out here I'm Utah the highest octane I can get is 91 so I'd use a different tune than I would at home on Virginia where I can get 93 octane
