Default Question: JLT CAI and BBR 93 octane tune

Anyone have a JLT 110mm CAI and BBR 93 octane tune installed? Thinking about going with this and looking for experiences/observations. Only other mod I have installed is Steeda UDPs.

From what I've read there's no benefit for a JLT 110 or even a C and L race intake unless you have a heavily modified engine(350 rwhp). This means cams and springs and a plenum intake.

+1 except that the larger intakes will also benefit guyz that are FI and with the stated mods. The stock '05--10 engines can't make use of any more air than the typical tune-required CAI (i.e., Steeda, C&L, etc) can provide. Basically the same concept applies to aftermarket TB's; the extra airflow capability is useless on a non-modified engine.

However the BBK tb has the closest inner area(6,035.08 sq. mm.) not excluding the butterfly valves to the JLT's inner area(6,217.985 sq.mm.). The stock tb is 4,749.25 sq. mm.

JLT claims 12-15 RWHP for this CAI with a proper tune. They used a stock 2010 GT as their test vehicle which baselined 269/289 rwhp/tq. Their claimed numbers with the JLT 110mm CAI and tune are 283/303 rwhp/tq. I picked up the new CAI from a friend who decided to go FI with a different setup. He gave a killer deal on the CAI, I couldn't pass it up. I was hoping someone else in the forum had experience with this setup.

Thx for responding
