Tune with factory intake. Who has done it?
Been doing some reading since I got my GT. I have read things like the factory intake is great on the 2010 as well as folks finding that Ford has under-rated the actual GT HP.
Anyone have dyno numbers with tune and stock intake? I called one of the top name tuners and he said the CAI is worth maybe 5 extra HP over factory setup on the 2010.

You've been told somewhat correctly. Since the stock intake on the '10 breathes better and the stock tune on the '10 is tweaked for the 15 CRANK HP over the '05-'09s, a CAI & tune combo will add less overall RWHP on a '10 as opposed to '05-'09. A good, stand-alone tune should yield about 10-15 RWHP. Add a good CAI to that and you might add another 3-5.

However ... Have you seen the Carbon Fiber JLT? That thing is SWEET!

forget about cold air for your 2010, it wont make a noticeable difference, take a closer look here...

get this and a tune you will notice a difference...

I did it already with dyno numbers, bone stock 2010 gt, I worked with a custom tuner, the car felt faster, but the dyno showed NO gains at peak, the only place it showed an improvement on the dyno was when you first stab the throttle, (because the tuner took the FBW delay out) maybe another tuner could pull some gains, but I'd be willing to bet no more then 5whp

Not one hundred percent true, the steeda cold air intake with a recalibrated ecm gains as much as 25 whp (not peak, but excellent numbers) and 13whp and 5 lbft of torque at peak.
The 2010's are a bit underrated, so with an intake and tune they are a tenth or 2 ahead of the 05-09's with an intake and tune.

Dont believe what they advertized, those #'s you quoted are skewed a bit to sell the product...there is no reason why the steeda intake and tune would outperform any other intake and tune. When i installed my brenspeed 93 tune and k/n drop in filter i got 15 crank hp which is about 8rwhp..and it was noticeable especially at low end. The car has the same feel as stock as i go thru the gears at higher rpms. now when i add my shaftmasters 16.6lb drive shaft next week, i should get another nice low end bump but i dont expect much in the upper end. Thats where that manifold i posted will yield substancial results....
