Well I put it on the same dyno that I have been using for the past several years, the same one that I had my base line numbers on, although it now has a new update tower, I made 306.2hp and 293.9 ft lbs real close to the other dyno I got numbers from, the last itme I was on this dyno with my bone stock car it made 281.3hp and 289.6 ft lbs, (with the old softwhere) we all came to the same conclusion that the new updated soft where has changed the way it reads, atleast I have a number before I do the "normal" bolt-ons, If I don'tpick up 50hp with kooks LT's JLT CAI and the new Ford racing intake, I'll be pulling my hair out! I wanted 370hp when I started, only 64hp to go...

Well I got my JLT intake and tune from Brenspeed installed, and I can say It made a BIG difference in power, I'll throw it back on the dyno before I install the Kooks and catted X-pipe, but by the seat of the pants I'm guessing 15-20 hp increase.....

Does the timing cover have to come of to get the heads off or can you use 2 of those wedge tools to keep the timing chains in place(I'm assuming that you didn't pull the engine out). I'd appreciate any links etc that you used.

Kinda jump the gun and skipped the easy and cheaper bolt on mods first huh? I bet, and I'm no pro, but exhaust and intake will really wake that car up.

I have just about every external bolt on possible. I'm probably porting the heads, comp cam with springs and C and L plenum intake in 2 years when the car is paid off. Probably will get 4.10s next Christmas also.

Timing cover has to come off, along with everything on the front of the engine...

Johnnyv8
ya I did everything backwords, I did the expensive stuff while I had money....
I did order Kooks LT's and catted X-Pipe, I'll try and dyno just the intake, then add the headers and dyno again....
