How does the 2010 mustang perform in the snow?
I know that rear wheel drive cars are bad in the snow. But I have heard some good news a out the 2010 mustang since it has traction control and I ll have winter tires installed. I am planning to buy a car soon and I want a mustang!!

The tires are most crucial. Fitted with proper snow tires, the mustang is more than capable of driving in the snow.
You can have an AWD car and if you don't have the correct tires to drive in the snow its worse than a mustang. I had an AWD and procrastinated swapping my tires and was still running summer tires...that made for some interesting snow trips.

After 30+ years of driving in northern winters in a few dozen different vehicles, I'd have to say not well at all in comparison. People that have nothing to compare the Stang to will say it's good but they have no point of reference. If you MUST drive it in snow, put snow tires all the way around (Firestone Winterforce are affordable and a decent winter tire) and add about 150 lbs to the trunk.

Kansas City got hit with some snow this year and with my factory tires on my 2010 GT I had ZERO issues.
Traction control did a great job and not once did I feel at risk. ABS worked well also
I do have tons of experience in snow since I learned how to drive in upstate NY by lake Ontario.
I guess it depends on how much snow you're talking about!

I had to drive in about 3 inches of snow, not plowed, and i did fine. It felt like I was skating, but my back end never broke loose, you just gotta be slow and controlled...I really benefited from having a standard transmission because instead of braking I can down shift slowly. Thankfully I never had to come to a complete stop, but the car did fine, much better compared to my CTS.
