Default On the skip shift

I am sure that the aftermarket guys are working on a fix. It is common on both C5 and C6 vettes which use the skip shift. Most folks spend the $25-50 bucks and remove it. There is a fuse bypass that just fits right in the fuse box. The dash light will still indicate that the skip shift is on but it is not. These have been used on vettes for a decade with no problems or CEL issues. Also, if you rev first past three grand it should shift into second so anytime you need to drive hard it will not be an issue however, I would disable it just because I want to use all the gears regardless of my RPM.

The 2005-2010 had iron manifolds. Thats one of the reasons it didnt need the resonators.

Like I said above with tubular headers, higher flow mufflers and possibly less restrictive cats the 2011 needed resonators both for tone and to pass noise standards.

It appears I misread your post. I thought you were talking about what one would install to change the noise; I see now you are talking about what Ford did to change the noise. So uh... never mind!
