I've only had it for a day, so I'm not an expert yet on what you can or can't hear in the car. Maybe one of the other folks who have had it longer can answer for you. But I did have a conversation with my son in the car while driving without problem.

I talk on the phone via SYNC all the time. Conversations in the car are no issue and low volume radio isn't bad either. You buy the exhaust to hear it, so you will. I don't think its overly loud unless your right foot wants it to be.

Exhaust note is great with the Off Road but once you hit 3000 RPM it becomes awesome!! You won't want to even listen to the stereo system again.

Me and my wife talk all the time in the car and I am always on the phone with no issues at all...and Rickgee I concur 100% when you get in the higher revs...it is pure music!!

Mines not loud enough so I have the Pypes Off-Road H-Pipe on order.

It definitely is not too loud. I get tons of compliments on how it sounds.
Turn the radio off all the time just to hear it.

Where do you live? Maybe someone with that system is local and you can get a test drive with the exhaust and see how you like it....

Now you need some bite to match all that bark. Time for performance mods.
