High hp: resale value & insurance
I am about to modify the my '06 GT to have 550 hp at the crank (kenne bell sc). Just wondering what this will do to the resale value of the mustang. Can I expect to get some of the money that I am putting into the mods back once I sell it?
What insurance company do you recommend for high hp mustangs, road driving. Also what insurance company will insure me on the racing track?
I live in Wisconsin.
Any input will be appreciated!

I cannot tell you about resale value, but as far as insurance, I did some shopping around at the time I upgraded my stang. Most insurance will ask you whether your car has been modified. Then, based on your history and profile, they might drop you or increase your premium. I am using Geico and I have stated that I had $15K worth of mods on my car: this increased my premium by $200 a year. My advice to you is to state the facts, though, as it might come back to bite you otherwise.

Very little. Makes me laugh out loud, when someone writes "I am investing in this or that for my mustang"
Modding is very personal. It is unlikely that someone else will appreciate your mods, the way you do.

I would expect to get, at best, pennies on the dollar for the modifications. It will have to be a screaming deal for someone else to just take the car as-is, vs just buying a cheaper bone stock car and modifying it themselves. I don't know the exact numbers, but if you got 1/2 of what you put in back upon sale, I'd be very impressed. I'm guessing it would be more like 20%...
As for insurance, I didn't change mine. Still have State Farm.

I'm sure that there are companies that will insure your car for track use, but I'd imagine that it's QUITE expensive.
as far as a return on mods, that's tough to gage, as it will depend on a number of factors, such as mileage on the car, mileage on your mods, aesthetic mods, availability of stock parts, overall vehicle condition, your location, etc, etc... but yeah, no matter what, you're looking at pennies on the dollar.
