Question whipple or procharger??????

what would be the best supercharger??

1. most concerned with reliability. which supercharger would require less maintenace??

2. which would last longer?

3. ease of installation?

im more concerned as to which supercharger will cause me the leasst amount of problems in the long run. ive heard of numerous centri leaking and shafts and bearing wearing out prematurely? how long should the centri last before rebuilding them?

thanks

really can't go wrong with either....

it's going to come down to which one you'd
rather see, when you pop the hood.

personally i would be happy with either one.

Yes hes right. You will get cheerleading from both sides. To me the "BEST" is the decision you make. Do your research as most and go from there.

Is this to upgrade the Cobra in your avatar? If so the Whipple is a no brainer. You don't even have to take off the intake manifold.

I'm looking at your 3 requirements. Reliability and longevity are pretty solid on both units, so it comes down to install. Having installed both, I can tell you that the whipple is a cakewalk compared to the procharger, but either one can be installed by anyone competent with common hand tools.

I would love to get a whipple, but I can't budget that build. Whipple would be my first choice among any sc's. I have heard the procharger was quite more difficult to tune than other centri's. I think for reliability and the low end tq of a ts, go with the whipple.

I just bought a saleen s/c recently, and will be posting it up for trade for a procharger. That sound of the procharger just does it for me. And with the 4.10s, i think it would work nicely. Hopefully i can find someone to trade..
