I've had two sets of gears/two tunes done at Gearheads.

I have nothing but great things to say about the shop and its employees...

I drive the living **** out of my car daily, with no gear whining/grinding/any negatve effects.

I've never dealt with either shop, but two of my friends have had their gears installed at Gear Heads and neither have had any problems with the installs...

The problem with shops is that they will never satisfy every customer every time. No matter how good the shops rep is, there will always been folks who have a bad experience. Typical consumer behavior is to be more vocal about bad experiences so that is what people tend to hear most when shopping for shops...

My brother had his lightning tuned there and popped the motor after 4-5 months (plugs looked awful from the bad tuning when we previously checked them).

and my buddy had them build a motor for him for his 00 Dakota R/T (basic stroked 360). The whole reason he was getting it built there is because Mike wilson their tuner could work with the SCT programming for the mopars. Mike Wilson quit not to long after they "finished" his motor that lasted all but 2 hours due to not being built properly. Not to mention it took them almost a 8 months to build the motor wrong. So basically I own a mustang and you could not pay me to have work done there.

I heard good things about gearheads and HPP tho

Just my experiences tho.

We do gears everyday and ALWAYS have Gears and bearing kits in stock.
We never have comebacks for gear whine. Our shop is always full.

That dodge truck was sent out to another shop we didnt build it.

All cars get new plugs before tunning. What popped on the lightning motor How do you figure it was the Tune?

Unless you're the owner of Dallas Mustang or have his expressed permission to post here on the shop's behalf, I'd just let this thread die.
