you should be able to get a low mile SGT for 25k or less now, if you wait and keep looking....

it will be MANY years before it matters, but the SGT's and the KR's are the only pre-title, vegas modified shelbys that were sold... the gt500's are 100% built by ford, and there are a TON of them built. low mile gt500's are coming in under 35k now, maybe less...

good luck!

I was on the fence when I bought my car. I got an 08 gt/cs for 28k with 6k on it. I seen some used Gt500's with 30k on them for 38k. I just went with the gt and dumped 5k into and since I got the good news today that I got an assignment to Scott Air Force Base I will be contacting Brenspeed about getting a supercharger when I get there. Which brings me back to 28k + about 10k puts my car at about 38k spent with the same results. You spend money and get what you pay for IMO. After the supercharger I'm done with the major spending this is out of control.

I backed of the second chance offer, because I finalized the deal on mine....but I would have bought that one had it gone for 30K originally but got bid up....

Dude. There was a 08 GT500 with 8200 miles on it and the guy only wanted 32,900. This was on autotrader a week ago.

I'd go for a GT500 at that point. I know I've seen Cobra's for the about 30g w/ low miles like riptide mentioned on the post before. I understand the idea that the Sgt/KR/SS are the only ones touch my Shelby motors. But I have a couple of things that bother me about the SGT:

*Small performance upgrades (15hp).
*All FRPP parts, nothing really to do w/ Shelby.
*Giant price tag.
*Stock brakes, rotors, tires, no engine work.

Even though SGT is worked on by "Shelby", the GT500 is really the different car here:

*Different engine, 5.4L
*Supercharged
*Different susp (not saying it's the best)
*BREMBO BRAKES (trust me, if you own a GT w/ stock brakes, you're more jealousy about this then the 5.4L S/C engine)
*6sp vs 5sp
*wide *** tires
*xpipe
*forged engine parts

I rather buy a GT500, save the money and turn it into a KR or something.

Can't turn it into a KR, that was a pretty exclusive club, and even those prices are coming down quite a bit... maybe an SS though...

of course pricing will vary, dependng on the market were you're buying, but just as a reference, i bought my 07 sgt brand new in march of 08 for $33K, so at this point, i wouldn't spend anywhere near $30K for a used one, unless it had some really nice mods.

Default SGT Pricing!

I bought mine in Feb of this year, with 2700 miles on it for $21,700.
