Default 19 inch rims To much?

I currently have 19 inch rims with 19x8 245/45 in the front and 19x10 275/40 in the rear. They really made my car slow down. Would a smaller tire or new gears help. 3.73 any good....

thanks a lot guys

i dont know if i m right, correct me if im wrong folks.. bigger rims does reduce your acceleration but it also will increase your brake power? (shorter brake distance)..19" are much heavier than 18" (i mean 4 together) hope this help.

Explain this increase of braking power from bigger rims?
Rims dont mean a thing, its the size of the tires you have
wrapped around them and the contact patch they provide.

I have seen cars running on rims with no tires on them on
COPS and it really wears out your rims in just a few miles.
You really need the rubber tire part installed as well....

Maybe stop with the duplicate posts and the
answers might just start flowing with force...

I predict that your future posts will read something like this....

Help, my new gears make noise. Help.

its more about how much ur rims weigh, if you put some crappy 40lb 19s on in place of your 25lb stock wheels then yeah your car is gonna slow down if ur rollin on 27lb 19s u shouldnt see that large of a difference
