UDP's and delete plugs/ worth it or not?
I plan to add a JLT carbon fiber intake, SCT tuner, and BAssani axleback exhaust to my 2010 mustang gt track-pak.
I am debating on Rousch UDP's and steeda motion delete plugs.
After all is complete i plan to dyno tune to my local 91 octane ethanol free fuel here in PA.
Additional Motor work (SC or cams/header pipe etc...)will then be on the back burner for a couple years while suspension mods and bling are addressed.
Question: Should I do the UDP's and delete plugs or not?
Question 2: Are there any other minor additions I should make now?
Thanks

They are cheap and for the cost probably worth it especially if you do the install yourself.
I'd put a set of gears in the car way before I'd do the deletes and the pulleys. Gears are going to give you the most noticeable change in acceleration vs. almost any other NA mod. It was by far the best thing I ever did for my car. Better than the intake/tune even.
Regarding the delete plugs/plates. The added power comes in higher up in the rev range. Some people (myself included) felt a perceived loss in power down lower in the revs. Brenspeed told me it's normal. Others have said they felt no loss in power down low. So YMMV there. Either way, it's still gonna add up top where it counts in a race or when you're pushing it.

Riptide...i don't know how much more cost efficient gears are on Frantz's car since he already has 3.73's.
You'll have to get your tune redone again for the delete plugs. Not a big issue, but another step in the process.
For the cost though...i dont see it as a bad way to go.

going with:
SCT X3 Tuner
Jlt Carbon Fiber intake
Bassani Axle-backs
Rausch UDP's
93 octane ethanol free dyno tune
and a Rausch rear spoiler for bling (I'll let myself believe that it is adding downforce and therefore making me faster)
I'll post results when everything is finished...should be about 2 weeks!!
Thanks Riptide and Jasezero!

i couldn't tell any difference with my udp's...but i did notice a jump of like 3 to 4mpg with them...before i would get pully's i'd get either cam's or long tubes..i know they're more money..but its worth the extra money...you can get jba's long tubes for like 500 now...

Frantz, I would make sure to get an extra tune that isnt an ethanol free tune. You go anywhere in Jersey, you won't be able to get ethanol free gasoline.
I don't know where in PA you are at, but there are plenty of places you can't get ethanol free gas.
And glad to help. Why did you decide on the JLT instead of the Steeda one? The Steeda lets you keep the sound induction tube =)

i'm blessed here in tn..my parents sell 100% gas...then 10 miles up the road in rogersville...there are 2 stations that sell 100% 93 octane... plus here in town there is a station that sells 100octance 100% gas...but its 7.12 a gallon
