TNT, were you the one that said there was a tuning issue after install of the cams? If so how did Chandler fix it? We have very similar setups. UPS delivered my cams and I plan to install them in a week or two when I can rent the tools.

You car sounds very good.........muscle car badass!!!

Part of the problem I believe came about from the idle speed, part of the problem seemed to be an exhaust leak on my driver's side muffler connection after the H-pipe install. Part of the problem may be just my needing to get used to a cammed car.
I was told by Dave at Brenspeed that mine was one of the first automatics that they had done an install on so they are still on a learning curve. I will probably hit them up for another canned tune later on.
They fixed the O/D light coming on before I left. The exhaust had a fuel injector cleaner smell and I toyed with the A/F% on the Supertuner which fixed that as well as a throttle response issue. The car would kind of lay down then leap forward when tromped which it is much smoother now.
The car does act different on hard accel from a light. Before with the BamaChips tune and the shift pressure upped 25% on all gears it would chirp the big 20s on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. It does not do that now. It just pulls like a freight train up to speed. I think that the powerband moved up a bit. To be fair the car was so loud with the MACs after the install I couldn't tell if the tires were breaking loose or not but it was not jerking sideways on a hard shift like before.

1st Congrats I love this cam on my 5 speed and glad the tune is straight for the auto now. After your post I talked with Chandler friend of mine has auto and wants this cam and he stated he was working on your tune just like he stated 1 of the first auto trans to recieve this cam. Loud what?? do you have
noise police around your area?lol I'm sure with the LT's it was race track loud.

You guys are gonna shame me into putting the MACs back on LOL but I have this thing about cars that are louder than they are fast. I would rather walk softly and carry a big stick. I might split the difference and maybe find some stock GT500 or Bullitt mufflers or something.
As an aside the L/Ts and headers DID actually help the dreaded drone at 55mph with the MACs. It really thundered when it was fired up at Brenspeed's shop.

I had actually made the appointment a couple of months ago when I ordered the FRPP Hot Rod cams. Brenspeed announced their new cams so I asked if they could change the order and move the appt back until the new cams were ready. They did and gave me a $100.00 credit for the difference in price. The install for the cams, headers, and h-pipe was a little over a thou including test driving/tune w/tweaks. About $500.00 for the cam install.
