I am curious if I go in for the SRS recall (which I never did because I assumed they'd screw with my tune) do they just re-flash the computer?

I am curious because I need to flash back to stock so my shop can use a sniper tuner on my car to get me a custom tune.

This will save me some $$$ if I can just have them do it for free.

Diabolical!

When I went to have the SRS recall done, I specifically asked the tech if it would interfere with my custom tune. He assured me that it would not. After the recall, everything still runs as it should. Honestly, I wouldn't have even had the recall done, but my wife is extremely petite and fits into the description of people who could be fatally injured by the airbag flaw.

two years gone by now and I have yet to have mine reflashed. This I must do next week.

The SRS is the only module flashed
during the recall.
They dont touch your tune unless
Ford flags your VIN# to flash your
PCM with 'improved' data.

shouldn't be a problem if you tell them otherwise try a different dealership lol
