new head gaskets, new head bolts.

Waste of money, I'd just get the B302 from Brenspeed.

Same block is $3200 shipped from Tousley Ford. Backordered right now. It's also one of the best buys out there.

Nothing other then basics needed like metioned above, gaskets and bolts, other then that remove your production block and install that one.

B302 by far... I'd just upgrade to the ARP studs...

I disagree with that. Aluminators already have a solid rep. Manley rods, Mahle pistons, Cobra crank. All machined and assembled by Ford, delivered for $650 less than the other block in this discussion.

B302 went up in price... The B302 is essentially the same motor that is ran in the PJ's.. The parts are all the Saleen parts that were sold. I guess I'd rather have a stroker over the aluminator. But since money was also a deciding factor I went a different way altogether. But I would really rather have a build FRPP Big Bore 302 iron block.

But between those two, I'd still go with the B302.

Those parts were floating around ebay awhile ago. I bought one of the b kits for my build. Stock stroke Manley rods, cp pistons and rings for $739 shipped. Won't see a deal like that come around again any time soon. They do have Saleen written on them, I suppose that's worth a few hp by itself

OP, what are your plans for the block? Or are you just in research mode right now?
